Reblozyl is an erythroid maturation agent used to treat anemia in adults with beta-thalassemia requiring regular red blood cell transfusions and in adults with very low- to intermediate-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) who have not responded to prior erythropoiesis-stimulating agents. It works by binding to TGF-beta superfamily ligands to promote late-stage red blood cell maturation and production.

Treatment of anemia in adults with beta-thalassemia requiring regular red blood cell transfusions, and treatment of anemia in adults with very low- to intermediate-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) who have not responded adequately to prior erythropoiesis-stimulating agents and require regular RBC transfusions.

Reblozyl is an erythroid maturation agent that binds to certain TGF-beta superfamily ligands, reducing Smad2/3 signaling and promoting late-stage erythroid differentiation to increase red blood cell production.

Administered as a subcutaneous injection. Not a substitute for emergency RBC transfusions. May increase risk of thrombosis. Discontinue use if severe hypersensitivity reactions occur. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Common side effects include fatigue, headache, musculoskeletal pain, and dizziness.
