Revolution Plus is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations, tick infestations (including Ixodes scapularis, Amblyomma americanum, and Dermacentor variabilis), heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, ear mite infestations, intestinal hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and roundworm (Toxocara cati) infections in cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older.
Revolution Plus combines two active ingredients: selamectin, which disrupts the nervous system of parasites, and sarolaner, an isoxazoline compound that blocks GABA and glutamate receptors in arthropods, causing paralysis and death of parasites. The medication is absorbed through the skin and distributed systemically.
For topical use only in cats and kittens 8 weeks and older. Not for use in dogs. Avoid contact with treated area until dry. Should be used with caution in cats with a history of neurologic disorders. While generally well-tolerated, potential side effects may include hair loss at application site, lethargy, or digestive upset. Heartworm testing before starting is recommended. Keep out of reach of children.
