Rezurock is indicated for the treatment of chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD) in adult and pediatric patients 12 years of age and older who have received at least two prior lines of systemic therapy and have not responded adequately to other treatments.
Rezurock contains the active ingredient belumosudil, which works as a ROCK2 (Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase 2) inhibitor. By inhibiting ROCK2, it helps regulate immune cell function and reduces the abnormal immune response that causes graft-versus-host disease.
Rezurock may cause serious side effects including liver problems, high blood pressure, and fertility effects. Patients should be monitored regularly for liver function tests and blood pressure. Common side effects include fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, and respiratory infections. Patients should inform their healthcare provider of all medications they are taking, as drug interactions may occur.
