Temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with the common cold, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis, and other respiratory allergies. May also be used to relieve congestion in the nasal passages before certain medical procedures.
Contains phenylephrine, a topical decongestant that works as an alpha-adrenergic agonist. It causes vasoconstriction (narrowing) of the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, which reduces swelling and inflammation of the nasal passages, allowing for easier breathing.
Should not be used for more than 3 consecutive days to avoid rebound congestion. Avoid sharing the container with others to prevent germ transmission. Consult a healthcare provider before use if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, diabetes, or glaucoma. Do not exceed recommended dosage and stop use if symptoms worsen or persist.
