Efgartigimod
Rystiggo (rozanolixizumab) is a prescription medication used to treat generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) in adults who are positive for anti-acetylcholine receptor or anti-muscle-specific tyrosine kinase antibodies. It is a monoclonal antibody that works by targeting the neonatal Fc receptor to reduce levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies, including the pathogenic autoantibodies that contribute to myasthenia gravis symptoms. This medication is administered as a subcutaneous infusion under the skin.
Rystiggo is an FcRn inhibitor used to treat generalized myasthenia gravis by reducing pathogenic IgG antibodies.

Rystiggo is indicated for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis in adult patients who are anti-acetylcholine receptor (AChR) or anti-muscle-specific tyrosine kinase (MuSK) antibody positive.
Rystiggo is a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist monoclonal antibody. It binds to FcRn, which normally protects IgG antibodies from degradation. By blocking FcRn, the medication increases the breakdown of IgG antibodies, including pathogenic autoantibodies that attack nerve-muscle connections in myasthenia gravis.
Rystiggo is administered as a subcutaneous infusion, typically given weekly. Common side effects may include headache, diarrhea, and infusion site reactions. Patients should be monitored for infections during treatment as reducing IgG levels may increase susceptibility to infections. Treatment should be initiated by physicians experienced in managing myasthenia gravis.
