Simparica Trio is used to prevent flea infestations, treat and control tick infestations (including multiple tick species), prevent heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, and treat and control roundworm and hookworm infections in dogs.

Simparica Trio contains three active ingredients: sarolaner kills fleas and ticks through GABA-gated chloride channel antagonism; moxidectin prevents heartworm disease by disrupting the parasite's nervous system; and pyrantel pamoate paralyzes and expels intestinal worms by causing neuromuscular blockade.

Simparica Trio is for use in dogs only and must be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. It should be given monthly year-round for optimal protection. Potential side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and in rare cases, neurological signs. Always consult with a veterinarian before use.
