Sotyktu is FDA-approved for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

Sotyktu is a selective tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor. By blocking TYK2, it suppresses inflammatory signaling pathways (including IL-12, IL-23, and type I interferon) that drive the overactive immune response and skin cell turnover characteristic of psoriasis.

Sotyktu is taken as a once-daily oral tablet. It carries boxed warnings for serious infections, malignancy, and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE). Patients should be screened for tuberculosis before starting treatment. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to deucravacitinib or any of its components.
