Sugammadex
Sugammadex is a selective relaxant binding agent used to reverse neuromuscular blockade caused by rocuronium and vecuronium during or after surgery. It works by encapsulating these neuromuscular blocking agents in the plasma, effectively removing them from the neuromuscular junction to restore normal muscle function.
A medication that reverses the effects of specific muscle relaxants (rocuronium and vecuronium) used during surgery.

Mechanism of action
Pharmacological mechanism
Reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium and vecuronium in adults undergoing surgery under general anesthesia.
Forms a tight complex with rocuronium and vecuronium in plasma, reducing their availability at nicotinic cholinergic receptors in the neuromuscular junction and thereby rapidly reversing their neuromuscular blocking effects.
Must be administered by trained healthcare professionals; monitor neuromuscular function after administration; not effective for reversal of benzylisoquinolinium agents (e.g., atracurium, cisatracurium); may cause rare allergic reactions or recurrence of paralysis in certain patients.
