Treats neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in adults who have previously responded to anti-VEGF injections.

Contains ranibizumab, an anti-VEGF antibody fragment that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor, reducing abnormal blood vessel growth and leakage in the retina to help preserve vision.

Requires surgical implantation of the device in the eye. Refills are performed periodically by an eye care professional. May cause side effects such as conjunctival bleb, conjunctival hyperemia, or increased intraocular pressure. Patients should discuss risks and benefits with their ophthalmologist.
