Emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), including anaphylactic reactions to foods, medications, insect stings/bites, latex, and other allergens. Also used for anaphylaxis associated with idiopathic anaphylaxis or exercise-induced anaphylaxis.

Symjepi contains epinephrine (adrenaline), which works by stimulating alpha and beta adrenergic receptors. This causes vasoconstriction to reduce swelling and increase blood pressure, bronchodilation to improve breathing, and helps reverse other life-threatening symptoms of anaphylaxis.

Should be used immediately at the first signs of a severe allergic reaction. Patients should seek emergency medical care even after using Symjepi, as symptoms may recur. Side effects may include nervousness, anxiety, dizziness, and rapid heart rate. Not a substitute for emergency medical treatment.
