Talquetamab
Talquetamab is a bispecific T-cell engaging antibody used to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received prior therapies. It works by binding to both CD3 on T-cells and GPRC5D on myeloma cells, bringing the immune cells into contact with cancer cells to facilitate their destruction.
A bispecific antibody that redirects T-cells to attack multiple myeloma cells by targeting both CD3 and GPRC5D.

Immunoglobulin G4 bispecific antibody targeting GPRC5D and CD3
FDA approval year
FDA approval for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma
Approved indication
Adult patients who have received at least four prior therapies
Route of administration
Administered as subcutaneous injection with weekly or biweekly dosing
Treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least four prior lines of therapy, including a proteasome inhibitor, an immunomodulatory agent, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody.
Talquetamab is a bispecific T-cell engager that binds to CD3 on T lymphocytes and GPRC5D on multiple myeloma cells and normal plasma cells. This dual binding redirects T-cells to myeloma cells, triggering T-cell activation and subsequent lysis of the target cells.
Administered via subcutaneous injection. Associated with serious risks including cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS). Requires hospitalization for initial dose escalation. May cause cytopenias and increased infection risk. Should be initiated under close supervision with appropriate supportive care and monitoring.
