Tarsum Reformulated is used to treat plaque psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff), and other hyperkeratotic or scaling skin conditions. It helps reduce scaling, itching, and inflammation associated with these conditions.

Coal tar has anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic (anti-itch), and keratolytic properties that help reduce scaling and inflammation. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic agent, helping to soften and remove thickened, scaling skin. Together, they help normalize skin cell turnover and reduce plaque buildup.

For external use only on the skin. Avoid contact with eyes, face, and mucous membranes. May stain clothing or bedding. Use sunscreen and avoid sun exposure as coal tar can increase sun sensitivity. Do not use on broken, infected, or inflamed skin. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their healthcare provider before use. The reformulated version may have updated inactive ingredients; discuss any known sensitivities with your prescriber.
