Idecabtagene Vicleucel
Tecartus is a personalized CAR-T cell therapy that modifies a patient's own immune cells to recognize and attack cancer cells. It is approved for the treatment of adults with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This treatment involves collecting the patient's T cells, genetically engineering them to target CD19 on cancer cells, and then infusing them back into the patient.

Tecartus is used to treat adults with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have received at least two prior therapies, and adults with relapsed or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Tecartus is an autologous CAR-T cell therapy. The patient's T cells are collected and genetically modified to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that targets the CD19 protein found on the surface of cancer cells. These modified cells are then infused back into the patient, where they recognize and destroy CD19-expressing cancer cells.
Tecartus carries a boxed warning for cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurological toxicity. It should be administered by healthcare providers experienced in its use. Patients require close monitoring following infusion, often including a hospital stay. As it is made from the patient's own cells, it is not suitable for individuals with known allergies to any components of the product.
