Tecelra is indicated for the treatment of adults with unresectable or metastatic synovial sarcoma and other MAGE-A4 positive advanced solid tumors who have received prior chemotherapy.
Tecelra is an adoptive cell therapy that involves collecting a patient's own T cells, genetically engineering them to target the MAGE-A4 antigen expressed on certain cancer cells, and then reinfusing the modified cells back into the patient to enable the immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells.
Tecelra is administered as a single infusion and requires specialized healthcare facilities experienced in cellular therapy. Patients should be monitored closely for potential immune-related responses and cytokine release syndrome following treatment. Regular follow-up with the treating physician is essential.
