Temporarily relieves minor aches and pains associated with headaches, muscle aches, backaches, arthritis, the common cold, toothaches, and premenstrual/menstrual cramps. Also temporarily reduces fever and helps with occasional sleeplessness when pain prevents sleep.
Acetaminophen works by raising the body's pain threshold and reducing fever through action on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center. Diphenhydramine, a first-generation antihistamine, crosses the blood-brain barrier and causes drowsiness by blocking histamine H1 receptors, promoting sleep onset.
Do not use with other acetaminophen products to avoid overdose. Avoid alcohol during use. Not for prolonged use (more than 10 days for pain or 2 weeks for sleeplessness). May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery. Consult a doctor before use if pregnant, nursing, or taking other medications. In case of overdose, seek medical help immediately. Keep out of reach of children.
