Vasopressin
Vasostrict is an injectable vasoconstrictor medication used to treat dangerously low blood pressure in adults with vasodilatory shock, particularly following surgery or in septic shock conditions. It is administered intravenously in critical care settings and works by causing blood vessels to narrow, helping to restore adequate blood pressure and blood flow to vital organs.
Vasostrict is a vasopressin injection used in critically ill patients to raise dangerously low blood pressure from shock conditions.

Vasostrict is indicated for the treatment of hypotension in adults with vasodilatory shock, including post-operative shock and septic shock, when adequate fluid resuscitation and standard vasopressor support are insufficient to maintain blood pressure.
Vasostrict contains vasopressin, a hormone that acts on V1 receptors on vascular smooth muscle to cause vasoconstriction. This increases systemic vascular resistance and raises blood pressure. At therapeutic doses, it has minimal effects on V2 receptors involved in water reabsorption.
Vasostrict should only be administered in acute care settings with continuous monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate. It must be given intravenously with precise dosing. Common adverse effects may include decreased cardiac output, increased heart rate, decreased blood flow to extremities, and cardiac arrhythmias. Use requires careful titration and monitoring, particularly in patients with coronary artery disease, heart failure, or peripheral vascular disease.
