Temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with the common cold, hay fever, other upper respiratory allergies, and sinusitis. Provides short-term symptomatic relief of stuffy or runny nose.

Vazculep contains phenylephrine, an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist. It works by constricting blood vessels (vasoconstriction) in the nasal mucosa, which reduces swelling and inflammation of the nasal passages, allowing for easier breathing.

Should not be used for more than 3 consecutive days due to risk of rebound congestion (rhinitis medicamentosa). Avoid use in patients with severe heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or narrow-angle glaucoma. May interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and other medications. Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or giving to children.
