Vectibix is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with wild-type RAS (KRAS and NRAS) metastatic colorectal cancer, either as monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy regimens such as FOLFOX or FOLFIRI.

Vectibix is a fully human monoclonal antibody that binds specifically to EGFR on the surface of cancer cells. By blocking EGFR signaling, it inhibits tumor cell proliferation, survival, and metastasis.

Vectibix is administered as an intravenous infusion every two weeks. Common side effects include skin reactions (acneiform rash, dry skin), hypomagnesemia, fatigue, and diarrhea. RAS status must be confirmed before treatment, as it is not effective in patients with RAS-mutant tumors. Patients should avoid sun exposure and may need skin moisturizers and sunscreen. Infusion reactions can occur during or after administration.
