Vyzulta is indicated for the reduction of intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It is used when other treatments have not provided sufficient pressure reduction.

Vyzulta is a prostaglandin analog that works by increasing uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor from the eye, thereby reducing intraocular pressure. The active metabolite latanoprostene bunod is converted to latanoprost acid in the eye.

Vyzulta is for topical ophthalmic use only. Common side effects may include eye redness, eye irritation, and darkening of the iris or eyelid. Patients should remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. It should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly needed.
