Wal-Proxen is used to treat mild to moderate pain, inflammation, arthritis (both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), muscle aches, back pain, headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, and fever.

As an NSAID, Wal-Proxen works by blocking enzymes called cyclooxygenase (COX), which are involved in producing prostaglandins—chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and fever in the body.

Like all NSAIDs, Wal-Proxen may increase risk of heart attack, stroke, and stomach bleeding, especially with long-term use. It should not be used by those allergic to NSAIDs, in late pregnancy, or with certain medical conditions. Always take with food or milk to reduce stomach upset and consult a healthcare provider before use.
