WP Thyroid is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), including goiter, and for thyroid cancer suppression in patients who have had their thyroid removed. It may also be used in combination with antithyroid drugs for certain thyroid conditions.

WP Thyroid contains natural desiccated thyroid extract with both T3 (triiodothyronine) and T4 (thyroxine) hormones. These hormones work by binding to thyroid hormone receptors in the nucleus of cells, regulating gene transcription and increasing metabolic activity throughout the body to restore normal thyroid function.

WP Thyroid is typically taken once daily on an empty stomach, 30-60 minutes before breakfast. Dosage is individualized based on thyroid lab tests (TSH, Free T4, Free T3) and clinical response. It is not interchangeable with levothyroxine (synthetic T4 only). Patients should have thyroid levels monitored regularly and report any symptoms of over-treatment such as rapid heartbeat, weight loss, or anxiety. Should not be used for weight loss in patients with normal thyroid function.
