Zolinza is used to treat cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) in patients with progressive, persistent, or recurrent disease following prior systemic therapy.

As an HDAC inhibitor, Zolinza blocks histone deacetylase enzymes, leading to accumulation of acetylated histones and other proteins, which can cause cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells.

Common side effects include fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, and blood count changes. Patients should be monitored for blood clots, dehydration, and electrolyte abnormalities. Women of reproductive potential should use effective contraception during treatment. The medication should be taken with food and swallowed whole.
