Ztlido is indicated for the management of postherpetic neuralgia (PHN), a chronic neuropathic pain condition that may develop after an episode of herpes zoster (shingles).

As a local anesthetic, lidocaine is thought to work by blocking sodium channels in nerve endings in the skin, which may help reduce pain signal transmission in the affected area. It provides localized analgesic effects without significant systemic absorption when used as directed.

Ztlido should only be applied to intact, unbroken skin and not used on open wounds or irritated areas. Patients with known hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other amide-type anesthetics should avoid this product. Application site reactions such as redness, irritation, or itching may occur. Medical advice should be sought if pain persists or worsens.
