Reference range

CD154 expression on resting T cells: <2% of CD4+ T cells. After activation (PMA/ionomycin): ≥60% of CD4+ T cells express CD154. Functional response is reported as percentage of CD154+ CD4+ T cells and median fluorescence intensity (MFI). Reference ranges established by each laboratory; consult institutional reference values.N/A

No fasting required. Patients should be well-hydrated. Avoid recent immunosuppressive therapy when possible, as it may affect T cell function results. Inform the laboratory of any current medications including corticosteroids, calcineurin inhibitors, biologics, or chemotherapy agents that may impact immune cell function.
